Many of our customers use the functional testing systems we design and build to test their products and equipment. They want to confirm a product performs as intended. Often, our automated production systems have functional testing systems built into them at strategic points in the process. As a general rule, we believe it makes sense to confirm the integrity of a product at strategic steps with a goal of minimizing waste and maximizing value added.

Frequently, our systems mark a part or component to indicate it has passed a test. Many ways exist to mark and track parts, and we use virtually all of them. In such cases, the data collected by the test may be recorded and a unique serial number printed on the part. This provides traceability in that the data can be sent to a server and stored for possible future scrutiny.
